How to add your GST number to Google Ads (Singapore)

Does Google charge GST on their Ads in Singapore?

Yes. Beginning from 1st January 2022, 7% GST will be charged to Google Ads users on their invoice. Here’s what Google has to say regarding GST in Singapore:

“Hello,

Due to changes in Singapore’s Goods and Services Tax (GST) rules on media sales, Google will be required to charge a 7% GST on media sales to customers in Singapore. No action is required on your part with regard to your Google Ads account.

Notable changes to your Google Ads account:

• Starting January 1, 2022, the amount of GST charged on your purchase will be visible in your account as a separate line in “Transactions” under “Billing & Payments.”

• Your invoice will show the amount of GST charged.
Google can’t advise you on tax matters. Please contact your tax adviser for any questions regarding this change.

Thank you,
The Google Payments Team”
