Does Google charge GST on their Ads in Singapore?
Yes. Beginning from 1st January 2022, 7% GST will be charged to Google Ads users on their invoice. Here’s what Google has to say regarding GST in Singapore:
Due to changes in Singapore’s Goods and Services Tax (GST) rules on media sales, Google will be required to charge a 7% GST on media sales to customers in Singapore. No action is required on your part with regard to your Google Ads account.
Notable changes to your Google Ads account:
• Starting January 1, 2022, the amount of GST charged on your purchase will be visible in your account as a separate line in “Transactions” under “Billing & Payments.”
• Your invoice will show the amount of GST charged.

Why should you add your GST number to Google Ads?
Just in case Google starts implementing GST on for ads on their platform.
In the case of Facebook Ads, GST will not be applied once you input your GST number. While Google has yet to announce a similar decision, it is better to register your GST number with them right now anyway to make things more convenient in the future.
How do you add your GST number to Google Ads?
Step 1: Ensure that you have access to your Google Ads payment profile
Step 2: Go to ads.google.com
Step 3: Click on
Step 4: Click on Billing > Billing settings
Step 5: Go to Payments profile > Singapore tax info
Step 6: Key in your GST number!
Step 7: Don’t forget to your settings!
