9% GST on Google Ads Singapore 2024

Google Ads to Face 9% GST in Singapore Starting 2024

Commencing on 1 January 2024, Singapore’s taxation on Google Ads will see a hike, progressing from the 8% rate of 2023. Exemptions are available for businesses predominantly dealing with international customers, as outlined in Section 21(3) of the GST Act.

“Hello,

Due to the Singapore Goods & Services Tax (GST) rate change, starting January 1, 2024, Google will be required to increase the GST rate charged on our offerings to customers located in Singapore from 8% to 9%. No action is required on your part with regard to your Google Cloud account.

You’ll see GST charges on your Google Cloud Billing pages and invoices.

Google can’t advise you on tax matters. Please contact your tax adviser for any questions regarding this change.

Thank you,

The Google Payments Team”
